7/10 The boba is soft and chewy but doesn't have any sweetness to it. I got the retro milk tea with 50% sweetness, but it was barely sweet. My friends got the earl grey and iron goddess milk teas with 25% sugar, but they were much sweeter. Overall nice small selection on the menu for those who enjoy the natural aromas of teas without anything too fancy

Great spot for tea lovers! Stumbled upon this place while shopping in Pacific Commons. It was surprisingly packed so it was a little bit of a wait for our drinks. I ordered the iron goddess milk tea (25% swt, 50% ice and boba) and my friend got the retro milk tea. Both drinks were really good and had a strong tea flavor, which is something I really look for when I get boba. The boba was a really good texture and added some balanced sweetness to my milk tea. I don't think this place is sweeter than others but have just been enjoying 25% sugar lately :) The retro tea had noticeable tastes of cocoa as advertised. Will definitely be back here next time I'm craving boba while shopping in the area.

Decent black milk tea. I got the iron goddess milk tea. I wish there was a stronger tea flavor in it but it still scratches the boba craving. Staff is friendly and helpful. They definitely try to help with recommendations as well.

I appericate that this place closes a little later during the weekend. Overall a solid tea place. I got Assam milk tea which I thought was pretty good. There's not a lot of difference between sugar levels, my friend got 15% and I got 30% it tasted the same. Other person in my group however, there Hot Era tea was watered down. There's no self service if I remember correctly which is definitely surprising but not an issue. The place over looks like an aesthetic tea place.

Brian Black Tea needs to branch out and open more locations! My boyfriend and I always have a great experience here and love how their menu work. They obviously specialize in black tea and have so many options. On top of that, you could get the tea just the way it is, with milk or with cream. They have a bunch of tea options and maybe 3 topping options which allows the employees to craft your order super quick and accurate. I love all their teas and have always gotten it with their crema which is perfectly sweet. 25% sweetness is the perfect amount of sugar for me because the crema adds another touch of sweetness to the drink. I wish their drinks came in larger sizes because I'm constantly craving their drinks and could easily down like a 40 oz lol. I love how their menu has descriptions on what each tea tastes like, because not many places do. Their tea is also very strong and fragrant. Please open a location in San Jose soon! :D

This tea spot gets 4 stars from me purely because their 0% no sweetness tea really means 0% sweetness and I love it! Fremont has a plethora of tea shops and I'm noticing many of them are more about "fun" tea with fun, interesting flavors and styles. Unfortunately for me, some of those tea shops have all sweetened drinks and that just doesn't do it for me. So, I love a tea house that offers tea where you can really enjoy the flavor of tea without it being masked by syrups or powders. Got myself an Empress iced milk tea and it was delightful. The tea was a little on the weaker side from what I was expecting but it tasted pure. Brian Black Tea doesn't brew by the cup. That's ok. I like their simple menu and its focus on only a few teas that could be prepared in different ways. The one thing I didn't like so much and I'm not going to discount them any stars for this, but I'd prefer my tea to be in a clear cup, rather than a paper style one. There is just something fun about being able to see your boba when you drink it. Plus, the paper cup kept suctioning inward at every sip. Kinda weird and not as fun. I'll be back for my no sweet tea. Thanks so much!

Stopped by Brian Black Tea on a Sat afternoon, and it was pretty busy inside. Despite the crowd, the cashier was very efficient, and I didn't have long to wait before she was able to take my order. Ordered the Pineapple Black Tea, and although I did not really taste the Pineapple flavor much, the quality of the black tea used was definitely top notch. The tea leaves are steeped sufficiently to product a strong, black tea aroma for all those black tea lovers out there. As a huge fan of boba, I was also pleasantly pleased to discover the boba was fresh and had a great chewy consistency. The service here definitely deserves a shout out. Mika was very friendly, polite, and efficient at her job. And there were quite a few baristas behind the counter making the drinks, so our overall wait time was not too long despite the number of people who ordered in front of us. The interior here is very large and spacious, with a decent amount of tables available if you opt to enjoy your drink indoors.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Parking wasn't too bad, there were open spots for us when we arrived. There was a small line of about 5min, then waiting for the drink another 5 min. I ordered the Iron Goddess Black Milk Tea with less ice and the recommended sweetness. The drink was good! The tea flavor was strong and refreshing. The size is decent for the price. Would definitely recommend this place if you like black tea!

I had to do a double take at the store front since it doesn't look like a boba shop and also didn't look open. Taking off a star because of the lack of communication between the back and the front. I wanted boba but they said it would be another hour. A little after I ordered, the front staff asked the back how long it would be for the next batch and they said 5 minutes. I would have waited the 5 minutes. The assam black tea with crema was really good. I finished it in under 10 minutes.

Stumbled upon this spot as we were exploring Pacific Commons and it's now one of our go to spots whenever we're in the area! Once entering, you see a open kitchen concept where you're able to see the employees making the tea. The place is busy however the employees get the drinks out in a good amount of time. On their menu, they have a few variations of regular tea, milk tea & tea w/ crema! One of my fave tea has to be earl grey. For me personally, you can taste the tea which I loooooove bc it's hard for most boba spots to make drinks w/o using real tea. For me personally, I think making the drinks at 50% sugar is perfect bc it allows the tea flavor to come through & it's just sweet enough but doesn't ruin the flavor of it being TOO sweet. If you're in the Fremont area looking for a new boba shop, check out Brian Black Tea :)
